Residential Lot Drainage Permitting & Inspection
Process
Please note that some changes have been made to this process,
including new phone numbers.
1. To initiate the process a signed and
sealed Final As-Built Drainage Survey must be delivered to the
Building Department. This survey is reviewed for compliance with
the approved plan. No inspection will be scheduled prior to review
and approval. This requirement has not changed.
2. To schedule your lot drainage inspection,
you must call Brevard County One Stop Permitting for Lot Drainage.
The new phone number is 321- 637- 5359. Please make
note of this new number.
3. Your lot drainage permit will be scheduled
for it’s final lot drainage field inspection the following day.
This requirement has not changed.
4. If your inspection has failed, your
project will be tagged with an orange non-compliance notice that
will be placed on your permit board. Please keep your permit
board posted on site with the permit and/or plot plan on board. A re-inspection fee will be assessed for all failed
inspections. This requirement has not changed.
5. You may call 321-637-5359
regarding the results of your lot drainage inspection,
and 321-633-2072 to inquire about the status
of your building permit application, pending fees and the status
of a certificate of occupancy. You may call 321-633-2187
regarding the results of your building inspections.
Please make note of these numbers.
Due to the volume of permits, the submittal,
review and inspection process may take up to three days to complete.
However, if there is a problem with your survey, if the final inspection
has failed, or if inclement weather conditions prevail, this process
could take longer.
If you have any questions concerning this
process please contact Debbie Taylor at 321-637-5359 option 2
or Melissa Dingman at 321-637-5359 option 3. Thank you.
