Landscaping, Land Clearing and Tree Protection (LLTP) Task Force

On January 8, 2008, the Board of County Commissioners approved amendments to the Landscaping, Land Clearing & Tree Protection Code and directed continued review and improvement of the Code. During the January 8th meeting, the Board also directed staff to work with interested parties to resolve two outstanding issues: Root Protection Zone, and Canopy Preservation and Tree Replacement. On February 26th and March 26th, public forums were held to gather additional public input. During the public forums, fifteen additional issues were identified by participants. On April 22, the Board directed staff to proceed re-forming the original 2006 task force to address the 17 issues. On May 20, 2008 the Board adopted Resolution 08-109, re-establishing the original task force.
