The Natural Resources Environmental Management Section writes management plans for protecting wildlife and their habitats, implements habitat restoration plans, conducts scientific research and monitoring, and provides outreach and volunteer opportunities for Brevard’s citizens.

Objectives:

1. To prepare innovative, comprehensive and scientifically-based environmental management plans that ensure the long-term conservation of Brevard’s natural communities while fostering local economic development, tourism and recreational opportunities for Brevard’s citizens and visitors.
2. To provide scientific natural resource information to the Board of County Commissioners and outreach opportunities for Brevard’s citizens.
3. To provide efficient, cost-effective environmental management services on county-owned working properties.
