Special Event Permits must be obtained for any activity open to the public in an outdoor environment within the unincorporated area of Brevard County where attendance is estimated to be greater than 50 people. Examples of activites that require a Special Event Permit are:

• Carnivals and Festivals - Amusement rides, games, booths or ride devices
• Music Festivals - Outside music events
• Parades, block parties, marathons, walks, etc. - Blocking, closing or utilizing the road or right of way. A special events permit is also required for parades within the incorporated areas if utilizing county roadways.
• Firework displays - display of fireworks by licensed pyrotechnics operator
• Tents - exceeding 400 square feet - sales tents, religious or revival services, festival or carnival activity

Application packages must be submitted at least ten(10) working days prior to the event.
