Building Code issues building permits for the unincorporated areas of Brevard County. Properties located within the limits of the municipalities, owned by the Federal Government, or the school board are not within the permitting jurisdiction of this office. If you are unsure whether or not your property is in the county or city, visit the Property Appraiser's web site at www.brevardpropertyappraiser.com.
Code changes are coming soon. The 2010 Edition of the Florida Buiding Code takes effect March 15, 2012. The new code can be viewed online at www.floridabuilding.org .
