![]() CITY OF COCOA BEACHThe City of Cocoa Beach is primary PSAP, located at 20 South Orlando Avenue. Point of contact is Steve Patterson at (321)868-3307. The staff consists of two (2) Telecommunication positions with three (3) wireline and three (3) wireless dedicated 9-1-1 incoming lines. Total staffing consists of twelve (12) full time staff including combination call takers/supervisors. The staff utilizes the Positron "Lifeline" terminal equipment with 30-button IAP Plus sets. The system has a digital logging recorder capable of recording up to 16-channels and also has instant playback capability at each call taker position. Spectracomm Netclock equipment is installed to provide for master timing of 911 hardware. The city took a total of 6,487 emergency 9-1-1 calls in FY 97/98.
