Cocoa PDCITY OF COCOA

The City of Cocoa operates a primary PSAP with three (3) answering positions servicing three (3) incoming 9-1-1 trunks.

The staff consists of 13 personnel including supervisors and consists of combination call takers/dispatchers. This staff utilizes the Positron "Lifeline" equipment with 30-button IAP Plus Workstations. The system has a 16-channel digital logging recorder together with instant playback recorders.

Spectracomm Netclock equipment is installed to provide for master timing of 911 hardware.

The City of Cocoa took 13,587 emergency 9-1-1 calls in FY 97/98. The following chart depicts a three (3) year call loading for this PSAP:
