BREVARD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
The Brevard County Sheriff's Office is a primary Brevard County
PSAP. Located at 700 S. Park Avenue in Titusville, the PSAP currently
receives all calls for law enforcement, fire/rescue, and ambulance
for the unincorporated areas of Brevard County.
In addition, the BCSO receives calls for the City of Cape Canaveral,
City of Palm Shores and the Town of Grant Valkaria.
Law enforcement calls are handled by direct dispatch. Fire/rescue
and ambulance calls are routed to the County Fire/Rescue dispatch
as a secondary PSAP.
The BCSO center has twelve (12) positions for call takers using eighteen
(18) dedicated 9-1-1 trunks (12 wireline, 6 wireless). Equipment consists
of eight (8) InterAct/Zetron consoles, an 80-channel digital logging
recorder and eight instant playback recorders.
Spectracom Netclock equipment is installed to provide for synchronous master
timing of 9-1-1 hardware.
The 9-1-1 system Automatic Location Information (ALI) is interfaced
directly to the Tiburon Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) System to speed the response
process. The center is currently staffed with 48 supervisory
and telecommunications personnel.
